Either surgery to shave the bone down, or the best treatment would be to see a chiropractor who will maintain the degeneration in your neck right now and prevent it from getting any worse. Usually if you already have a bone spur, it's the start of the degenerative process which could lead to spinal fusion if not taken care of.

There are conservative treatments such as PT or chiropractic to help pain. To remove the spur requires surgery to shave the spur or possibly a laminectomy or other like surgery.

Really all you can do is avoid things that aggrevate the pain and when it become symptomatic to the point you can't stand it you can have surgery.

The only treatment is rest or surgery. Typically surgery is only done when you start having neurological symptoms. See a orthopedic surgeon who specializes in neck surgery.

If it is minor, then physiotherapy can help to retrain muscles which have developed unhealthy protective behaviours. Larger spurs can be shaved down in surgery.

Treatment for a neck bone spur includes anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen or naprosyn, rest, and exercises. Cortisone may be used in severe cases.

You will first have to get an Xray to be able to go to a specialist which will review your information and then be able to tell u if u would go in for surgery to shave off the part of the bone that is causing the pain by pushing into spine.
