What can cause an Expedition to shake when you step on the gas?

A number of things can cause your Expedition to shake under acceleration. One culprit could be bad timing, another could be moisture in the fuel. If your fuel lines are clogged, it might shake. If you have a large sound system without an auxiliary battery, your electrical system may be browning out.

This could be several different parts on your vehicle. Check your tires first. make sure that they are filled to the proper PSI levels. Than check your suspension parts.

if the car shakes upon appling the gas could be U joints are bad, they are in the driveshaft and if let go to long will break dropping the driveshft

More than likely you are experiencing a misfire. This can be caused by a lot of things. Typically it is due to lack of maintenance. Either your plugs are too worn, your fuel filter is clogged, or something similar and it is keep the engine from running at full throttle. Take it to a mechanic.
