Bloating can be caused from being constipated, it can be caused from a woman's monthly period, and it can be from just a stomach bug. The worst possible reason of being bloated could be from several kinds of cancers. Stomach cancer is definitely a reason to make some one be very bloated.

Severe bloating can be caused by dietary factors (such as intake of milk products, gassy foods such as cabbage or broccoli or of carbonated beverages) or by H. pylori infection.

Intestinal gas can cause severe bloating. Food allergies such as being lactose intolerant can be another cause. Severe bloating can also be a sign of ovarian cancer so if this symptom stays, see your doctor.
