Assuming it is a safe place for her to be, first find out the "why" behind her request. Does she miss him? Does she think there will be no rules in his house? Does she want to get away from something? Around this age her friends may be changing and she doesn't like that change.

Above everything else, you should think about the child's well-being. Will she be properly cared for at her father's house?

Consider your personal answers to these questions. Was her father abusive in any way you or your children? Does her father make derogatory comments about you? Is the relationship with her father amicable or strained? Does her father follow the current orders? Evaluate your answers. If the situation is positive, a judge will make the final decision.

Twelve is old enough to decide for theirself, chances are she will realize after awhile that it's not what she wants, but be sure to encourage her right to choose.

She is old enough to choose who she would like to live with. So if she wants to go and her father is responsible and doesn't put her in harms way you need to let her go live with him. Make sure you still spend time with her and that you let her know she's important to you.

If there is no risk of physical harm or him being overly permissive, then the move would actually benefit her. Girls with strong male protective figures have better relationships with men when they are grown.
