What can you tell me about a breast needle biopsy a titanium needle during an MRI?

What you're getting is likely a core biopsy and a needle to mark where the growth is. A needle is inserted into your breast; the imaging machine (CT, MRI) is used to help localize where the needle is in relation to the tumor and "mark it". That way, if surgery is decided, it's easier to find the tumor.

When having a breast needle biopsy, a titanium chip can be placed where the biopsy is taken. This chip can be seen during an MRI.

This is a Mri Guided Biopsy. They use a titanium Needle so it does not interfer with the Mri which is run by large magnets.They will take a tissue sample.
