From what I have read, these tire appear to fail quite regularly. They sound like a cheaper brand with several problems. Look online for customer reviews and read for yourself.

Been on sheet ice (Wy), in loads of snow (NV, CA, and CO) with no problems. Great traction in snow and on ice and every other weather condition. Great for the price.  add a comment

have used xtratrac tires on nissan pu for 15 years, truck has over 300,000 miles.
these tires have served me EXTREMELY well. I think running them abit over inflated (35-38psi) really helps. and yes, a recent design change is a great quality improvement.  add a comment

Douglas Xtra-Trac tires have received a number of complaints. Buyers report that the tread wears well but the tires fail early primarily due to sidewall bulges or steel belt separations. Overall this is a poor quality tire considering the manufacturer.

The douglas x-tra trac tire is made by kelley springfield for wal-mart and is not the best rated tire. If you are using in city and highway driving should be fine, would not suggest for country driving such as rough gravel roads. They have been reported to have fairly flimsy sidewalls at a 1 ply rating.

Douglas Xtra-trac tires have pretty bad reputation in market. They are considered cheap both in regards to pricing and quality. Reports show that tread wears well but steel belt separates soon. Drive on highways and cities may last it longer but not in country side where it has been failed.

Douglas Xtra Trac tires used to be considered el-cheapo, but they have improved their quality as of late. When I need new tires, i'm thinking of getting them.

These tires are a "generic" name brand off shoot of Goodyear tire brands that are designed as an all season, mud and snow tire that will produce very little noise at highway speeds.

I use these tires for work, and if you don't make a habit of hitting chuck holes at 40mph and drive conservatively they will last 30K and I can get 3 sets for what I would pay for one name brand set.

Douglas Xtra-Trac tires, are a low end, low quality tires made for WalMart. While they may be ok for city road they are not realiable off road, dirt roads.

Douglas xtra-trac tires are tires made by kelley springfield and sold primarily at wal-mart and most reviews online are negative. they are also a very cheap tire and are ok for most in the city driving and some highway trips, but if you live in a rural area with lots of gravel roads these tires are not worth your money.
