Answer by  Esme (535)

Fiber Reinforced Concrete contains fibers like glass, synthetic or natural fibers which can control cracking in concrete as they are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented. Newly developed FRC, which is called ECC is 500 times more resistant to cracking and is lighter than concrete. Polypropylene fibers can improve impact resistance while steel fibers can improve structural strength and ductility.

This is a great product. Fiber reinforced concrete has metallic fibers running through it. This supports the concrete where it may be stressed or be strained.

The fibers in the concrete help to make it more flexable and thus stronger. The fibers will also help to keep the concrete from craking over time. It also make the concrete a little lighter.
