Hair loss in lactating animals are common due to stress. The stress caused by the pregnancy, the swelling and irritations caused by the nursing puppies are all contributing factors. With proper nutrition and care, the hair loss will grow back in a few months.

Lactating requires the body to be fully equipped with the proper balance of hydration, caloric intake, and nutritional sustenance. Your dog may not be getting enough nutrition(this does not mean not enough food). You should make sure that she has rich wholesome nutritionally valuable foods.
