What causes chickens to vomit?

Chickens will often times vomit after drinking to much or being picked up to fast. They will also vomit after having a coughing Fit.

I've kept chickens as pets for fifteen years and have never seen a chicken vomit. My best guess is that the chicken was squeezed by some outside force rather than vomiting the way we do. Chickens can be squeezed by children in particular, who confuse them for living plush toys.

Chickens might vomit for a number of different reasons. They usually "vomit" after drinking too much of water. And they also vomit due to a disease or eating some harmful insects.
