Shaking in the elderly is often caused by Parkinson's disease. It can also be a sign of loss of motor control from dementia, illness, and muscle deterioration. In rare cases, the shaking is due to medications taken for other conditions, like Alzheimer's disease. If you are shaking, see a doctor.
