A nerve that feeds the legs could be damaged or being pressed on by some mass and that could cause a reduced amount of motion and also it could cause loss of sensation. Broken bones or muscle damage can also cause that kind of limited range of motion but only an exam can tell.

The range of motion in your legs can be limited by a number of different factors. Some people are just inherently less limber than other people. Stretching exercises can be used to gradually increase the range of motion. Arthritis can be another cause of limited range of motion. Again stretching along with the use of anti-inflammatory can be used.

You might have a herniated disk or other back problems effecting your legs. Try visiting a chiropractor for adjustments to your back.

Improper muscle movement or stiff muscles couple with stiff bones could be the reasons for this. Age must be catching up with you.
