If you turn the key and it starts but seems to be slowing down and the lights dim, check the battery or alternator. If you turn the key and it takes a while for it to start up, could be the gas pump. Acceleration problems, check the transmission

It could be an exhaust system issue, or catalytic converter. The honeycomb in the back of the car, it is pretty expensive to have one of those changed out.

your problem is probably with the electrical system, I have seen that in some instances after a mechanic is working on the electriacl or around the harness, these problems start to occur because of incorrect signals sent through the system messes with the air fuel mixture, in turn giving you the hesitation, check this first, it may save some money.

If you are having problems with the car wanting to stall out on you while driving, one thing that could be wrong is a broken fuel filter or pump and the car can't get gas to the engine.

Check the throttle blade, just after the air filter tube, where air enters the engine for black oily residue. Clean the throttle blade with a green scotch-brite pad and some throttle body cleaner available at your local do-it-yourself auto parts store. Very common problem in these vans.

There a number of areas which could be at fault, and unless you possess diagnostic devices and adequate tools you should take it to Dodge dealer or authorized repair shop.

Hesitation could result from a restricted intake tube, vacuum line that isn't connected, or a transmission problem. Troubleshoot the 1st two first as they are easier.

This issue has plagued Dodge and other Chrysler made vehicles for years. Every Chrysler-made vehicle I have owned did this. My Chrysler dealer cannot find how to fix it.
