Is it on or under your nipple? Depending on your age this could be a sign of puberty. If it's more like a lump, you should have it checked.

The bump can be something as simple as a pimple or infection, it can also be a lesion from a virus or a simple calcium deposit on the skin surface.

A hard bump that is fixed and not painful needs immediate attention to rule out the chances of breast cancer. See a surgeon as soon as possible.

Any time you have a bump, lump or anything unusual with your breast you should talk to your doctor, but there are glands that surround your areola that might become infected. Try placing a hot compress over it and see if that helps to loosen it up. Also skin can become irritated by bra's, lotion, perfume or sweat.

These bumps are part of the normal breast anatomy. They are called montgomery's glands. Touching them can cause an infection. They may go away due to hormonal changes, for example, during pregnancy.

Since it has been there for about two weeks, I would make an appointment with your doctor. It might absolutely be nothing, but better safe than sorry. In the meantime, keep the area dry and clean. If your shirt or blouse is rubbing in the area, then place some sort of barrier to prevent friction.

A hard bump on your nipple could be a ingrown hair that has not come out yet. It could also be a swollen glad around your nipple. Usually these things go away soon. If not call your doctor.
