What could cause a Hunter ceiling fan to not work on all speeds?

The ceiling fan in my master bedroom will no longer work on medium speed.

Likely, there's a loose wire inside the fan. The speed switch toggles between different wire pathways, which send different amounts of power to the fan. More power means the fan moves faster. The circuit responsible for medium speed is broken.

My guess is that the switch has developed a fault. I would suggest that you need to get a qualified professional to have a look.

The first cause is on the medium section of the switch of the ceiling fan, whether the connector is not connected properly or maybe because the wire is disconnected for any reason (age, defected, corrosion, etc). The second cause maybe on the fan's motor regulator which is not functioning properly, such as the didoe is damaged.

Actually the problem is there in your regulator switch you have to change the regulator moving switch in side of regulator. If you will change then it will work or change whole regulator.

It might be the control on it, you may need to replace it. It sounds like it went out. You will need to replace the motor in it probably. Best of luck to you.

The motor or the internal switching mechanism may be worn out. Run it on slow speed for a few hours and then try medium again. If this does not work, you may need a new fan.
