What could cause a USB over current error in a JVC TV?

Could be a number of issues. It could be faulty the USB cable, the USB port on the TV, or the USB port on the device. Attempt to isolate the cause (switch cables, devices, etc.) to narrow down the possibility. If all fails, it may the TV itself.

The over current error is most likely happening because of a recent rattle of your TV. This is a known problem with tvs that have been jarred.

Well that would have something to do with the mechanics of the t.v. The only real way to fix this error is to request repair under a warranty for the machine.

We do not understand. JVC does not have a solution, except move this huge 400 pound tv to a service center, which I do not want to do.

im having the same problem with my JVC, i have a backup tv so i am goin to try to remove the usb port with some needle nose pliers. Yup, im gonna just yank the damn thing out, will let you guys know the outcome.
