Often times baby animals do not know exactly how much they should eat or how much their body can hold so they over eat which causes bloating. This effect is common in many animals especially animals suh as pigs or kittens.

If a kitten isn't latching on properly, he or she may be swallowing air along with the mother's milk. Or, the kitten could just be eating too much. Check the mother's teats to make sure they are clear of fur matting. If the kitten is overindulging, remove the kitten from the mother after a bit.

This is normally caused by the kitten overindulging in their mothers' milk or food. Be sure to have a good dewormer also to be sure your kitten doesn't have a "bellyfull" of harmless worms.
