John Updike is my favorite author. I completed my honors thesis on him in college. I loved this collection of stories. He always explores timeless themes like love, faith, sex, and death. These stories are masterfully written as always. Sometimes it takes me quite a while to finish a story because I find myself marveling at individual sentences.
