People who are Christian Scientists believe that spiritual things are much more important then material things. They believe that prayer is very important, and also knowing and completely understanding God. Healing comes through understanding Jesus and that he cured people.

They believe that humanity and the universe are spiritual rather than material, and that truth and good are real things, whereas evil and error are unreal. They believe that health comes from being virtuous and good, and sickness comes from fear, ignorance and sin such that when these errors are corrected, good health will return.
