This is more commonly referred to as a television. Using electromagnetic fields a cathode ray is manipulated very quickly and projected in a kind of long-exposed glare on our screen.

CRT stands for cathode ray tube, and it projects when the CRT fires a beam of electrons at a phosphor-coated screen. When the electron comes into contact with the screen, the pixel glows.
