If youhave an upper cut swing, it icreases your chances of having a lot of power behind your swing, so you will hit the ball much further. The only problem is that if one has an upper cut swing, they will be more likely to miss the ball while swinging because the bat will not be in the zone.

A high cut, or 'uppercut' swing attempts to hit the ball in the air, typically for a home run, although it limits the time bat is in the strike zone

A high cut swing will cause the ball to go higher in the air. Uppercut swings cause home runsa s well as pop ups. Downwards swings cause ground balls.

In baseball, a cut swing does not allow you to hit the ball as hard or as far as if you swung regularly. A cut swing is like a half swing.

A high cut swing typically causes the batter to hit a ground ball which usually results in an out. Essentially what happens with a high cut swing is the the bottom of the bat makes contact with the top of the ball. This forces the baseball to go down toward the ground.
