This is usually caused by communication problem between computer and printer. It can be driver, cable or registry configuration. It can be also full device hive. Try to update driver, try clean-up registry or with Device Manager, try to remove unused hardware.

the error you are describing that happens when you print (error 49) is a HD - hard drive - error. The only thing you can do to fix it, is (if your computer is old) either reformat it, or buy a new computer because it sounds like your HD is going bad.

There most likely is a problem with your hardrive. Windows is telling you that you can not save to your hardrive when you are getting this error.

its looks like your hard drive is faulty and windows can not save data in the hard drive so check your hard drive

its a hp printer firmware error you have to turn off your printer and try printing from a differnt software if you are getting this error

check disc on the harddrive (right click the c drive / properties / tools tab / error checking... check now - check both boxes.... you'll have to reboot to run it.

It is the IDE Hard Disk Write Error. You can Go to the drive manufacturers web site and download the diagnostic software, that should tell you the problems. You should also check HDD connections, and see cables are connected properly, make sure the bios is should also detect the HDD. In that case the IDE HDD needs to be replaced.

This can happen, when the NT system is not in a proper state. Best thing is, if you boot the system with ubuntu, mount all drives and shut it down correctly. Propably the error is gone when you reboot now with xp. To get a bootable ubuntu cd you can get an image at the ubuntu community.
