Natural makeup is meant to go on lightly and not be very visible. It should correct your imperfections while making you seem you are wearing no makeup whatsoever.

The term usually references no additives and being hypoallergenic . This is a milder formula to be less irritating to sensitive skin. Also, 'natural' is used at times to describe the shades as being more neutral and skin toned in colour, rather than dramatic deeper shades.

The term "natural makeup" describes makeup that is applied to look as natural as possible. For example lots of dark eyeliner and red lipstick does not look natural. Minimal foundation, blush, and pale lipgloss is considered natural. Natural makeup is meant to enhance your natural beauty not cover it up.
