What else can I feed my baby if he will not eat rice cereal?

My baby pushes rice cereal out his mouth, he will not eat it, seems to gag when I feed it to him.

Those are signs of your baby not being ready to eat solids yet. Pushing it out of his mouth is actually a reflex. Wait a little longer and try again.

Could be the cereal is too thick, try thinning it out with more breast-milk, formula or water. If he still won't eat it, take a break from cereal and try some vegetables like sweet potato or squash.

The tongue thrust reflex may still be strong enough to cause him to gag on rice cereal, or he may just not like the texture. You can try oatmeal cereal or thin out the rice cereal with formula or breast milk. If he does take the thinned out rice cereal, thicken it up a bit at each feeding.

Try mixing the rice cereal with fruit; the baby I sit for will eat the cereal when mixed with peaches.

It depends on how old your baby is. Some infants aren't ready for foods until they are around six or seven months of age. Wait a while and try again, you can also try baby food applesauce or peaches.
