What happened to "Emeril Live"?

The show "Emeril Live" was cancelled in 2007, after 10 years on Food Network. Like other successful television personalities, its host Emeriil Lagasse had managed to make himself into a star, rather than just a host of a show. He also managed to make Food Network a star. But like other personalities, America tired of him, moving onto other personalities.

Emeril is busy doing other restaurants and producing other cooking shows on the Food Network. He also can be seen as a guest food judge on cooking shows such as Bravo's top chef.

I do remember watching this show a long time ago, but after a long marriage with the food net work, they decided to stop airing the show for some unknown reason. But, shortly after that the rival channel of the food network, the cooking channel decided to pick the show up. It is still airing on the cooking channel.

Emeril Lagasse signed a five year contract renewal with food network in May 2003. But due to some complications with the contract, Emeril's last taping was December 11, 2007.
