If it's serious, your eyes will get severe burning or stinging. Wash your eyes with milk to neutralize the acid.

If the boric acid is mixed to the correct strength, such a solution will not harm the eye. In fact boric acid solutions are often used to bathe the eye.

Boric acid is used as an eye medicine, used to treat eye infections. However it can be harmful in too strong a solution or if you're sensitive. If you've having eye pain or irritation or the acid is causing blurred vision, rinse your eyes with saline and contact your doctor.

Boric Acid, when diluted correctly, is known to help cure eye infections. Mix one quart of boiling water with a tablespoon of boric acid, let it cool, and apply with a clean washcloth or cottonball three times a day.
