A female rabbit is called a Doe. Many people associate a "Doe" with a deer, however the definition of doe actually involves the female of the deer, antelope, goats, and rabbits.

As with deer, an adult female rabbit is a doe, and an adult male is a buck. Young rabbits, however, are known as kits, not fawns.

We raised rabbits both when I was a kid and as an adult. Funny that they are named the same as the deer family in that males are called bucks, females, does.
