Making sure you exercise throughout the week can really help, as your body will be using more energy and feeling more balanced. Try not to have any stimulation late at night from caffeine, television, eating, or going on the computer. These things will keep you up. Try to follow a routine each night if you can.

I find that reading a book, even if you are not really that interested in it, will put you to sleep quickly. By the time you are on the second chapter you will be ready to turn the lights out.

If you have insomnia, start with balancing your diet and activity. Cut down on caffeine and sugary drinks and foods. Spend some time each day exercising. Start to relax early in the evening. If that fails, consider a mild sleep aid or talking with your doctor.

Go to sleep only when you find yourself dozing. You will probably fall asleep within five minutes. Also, a nice stiff drink will usually do the trick, also.

First of all, cut out caffeine, because it can keep you awake. Reading a book might make you drowsy and able to sleep.
