There is a supplement called Grass Gel. This is available online and most cats love it. It is all natural.

You can give the cat vaseline or butter. There are also commercial laxatives available. Make sure that your cat is drinking enough water and eating normally. If the cat continues to be constipated you should see a vet.

Aside from veterinarian prescribed laxatives like Laxatone and Vetasyl, you can try some of the following at home. Use a little bit of cow's milk in the cat food, or add bran or Metamucil to it (1 tsp. ). You can also use fish or flax oil on your cats' paws.

You should not EVER give any kind of laxative to your cat, you could kill her. If fish oil doesn't work within 48 hours, you need a vet.

Make sure you use a good hairball remedy for your cat(this helps). Petco sells a variety of remedies for hairballs and digestion. Also, my vet recommended using Activia to help balance my cats digestive system. He said to give a spoonfull a day. ALl yogurt is also good for cats.

There are many laxatives for cats but I use mineral oil because it's cheaper. My vet told me to mix 1 teaspoon in a can of catfood for results.

The best thing to give them is canned pumpkin. This will both loosen up the cat and help it with diarrhea. I guess it helps regulate the amount of water in a cat's stool.
