There are many lovely poems out there on the Internet relating to Mothers which would be appropriate for Mother's Day. M-O-T-H-E-R by Howard Johnson is a particularly pretty example. Each special quality is spelled out with the letters of Mother, with the poem being summed up with "Mother - a word that means the world to me."

Write something from the heart showing how you feel about your mom. If you need help, maya angelou is a great source for poems or verse - good luck.

The best poem for Mother's Day will be one you write yourself. Mothers want to connect personally with their children, not through another author's writing.

My poems are always a bit non-traditional. This year it was; You are a woman, A woman are you, If I were a cat, I'd poo in your shoe.
