This is an interesting question as technically there was no 1983 Corvette. Production of the 1984 Corvette, the C4 Generation of Corvettes, began in March of 1983. All of the models produced during 1983 were deemed 1984 models. Depending on the condition, if a 1984, a fair price could be anywhere from $7000 to $20,000 plus or minus.

Like with any other car the price will depend on the condition of the vehicle. Rough ones or ones with higher mileage can be bought for $3-$4k. Very original low mileage ones can cost well over $20k. So for around $9k you could probably get a decent one.
