What is a great Italian saying to write on a Christmas card?

I have several family members that are true Italians, I would like to show them that I took the time to come up with a good saying for the card.

Most affectionate wishes for a merry Christmas and for the New Year = "I migliori auguri per il Santo Natale e per il nuovo anno", Best wishes for Holy Christmas & the New Year = "Con l'augurio che il Natale e il nuovo anno vi portino tanta pace e serenità"

A popular saying in Italy during the holiday season is auguri, which means good wishes and is a wonderful sentiment during this festive season. You could also go with "Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuouvo" which translates the the traditional Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, always a good option for a Christmas card.

Something as simple as "Buon natale e tanti auguri di Capodanno! " should make your Italian family members feel special. This means "Merry Christmas and many New Year's greetings! Don't worry about being perfect... they'll appreciate the effort no matter what!
