What is a hoki?

It is a fish that comes from the hake family. It lives in the New Zealand waters also. This fish goes by many other names: blue grenadiers, blue hake, whiptails, whiptail hake, and New Zealand whiting. It is a white dense fish and considered to be a lean "cod". Cook it as you would any codfish.
