What is a normal price for a home hvac heat pump?

My Friedrich cost about $1100. If you figure out how much BTU you need and take your measurements for the size of your home plus the size of the area the pump needs to fit in you can go to a store and the sales clerk will help you out.

Well it does depends on the square footage of your home and the type of heat pump you want. I've seen some for as low as $839 but they are for a very small area. I really would need more information in order to give you a good answer.

HP's require PROPERLY sized and insulated ductwork which adds big $$ to the job. Strip Heaters, ductwork, airhandler and outside unit depending on tonnage and if significant ductwork rework r not... up to $20,000. Beware of one van companies there is not a lot of service with those guys
