Obviously it depends on how avid a runner you are, the weather, your age, your experience running in half marathan's, etc., but on average, a respectable time for running a half marathon is approximately 1-2 hours. If you can do it in this amount of time, you are doing fairly well.

A lot would depend on your level of fitness, age, and number of times that you have run the distance. In my opinion, a pace of eight minutes per mile would be pretty good. Unless you are running in an elite only field, the pace should allow you to finish in the top half of the race.

Running a half marathon in any amount of time is respectable, it all depends on your personal goals and fitness level. A professional runner may have a goal of 5 minute miles or less while a casual running may shoot for around 7-9 minute miles.

If the runner has done the prep work required to compete in a half marathon, an hour and fifteen minutes would allow them to show off at the water cooler on Monday morning. If the runner has had the goal to be able to finish the half marathon, then a time under two hours would please most runners.
