What is causing all the problems with my big screen TV?

Bad cables, devices (dvd players, video games), or bad reception could be the main cause. Hard to tell without specific info though.

Depends on the type of t. v. It could be a bad tube, unaligned mirror, burned out bulb, defective board, or any number of things. There is also the possibility that there is nothing wrong with your t. v. and that you may need to place a call to your service provider. A quick description would be the picture breaking into squares.

If it is an older projection TV the problems are most likely with the internal projector. One of the colors most likely went out.

There are numerous reasons for TV problems. Worn cables can send a bad signal to your television, so I would replace those.
