To become a registered nurse, one needs to be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and must have passed the Nursing Board Examination. A registered nurse should possess professionalism and must demonstrate in her/his personality the quality of a nurse.

The requirements for becoming a Registered Nurse vary from state to state. Some states require a full bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)degree while others accept a year of accredited nursing school. Check with your state licensing organization to see the minimum standards. In general, if you want to be a head nurse a BSN is required.

Becoming an RN/Registered Nurse usually requires a four year bachelors degree. There are a few (one is in my community) 2-year, AA degree programs. Our 2-year program is highly competitive!

I belive that it was 4 years of formal college education, which coursework includes math and sciences. Also, I think that you have to have experience/practice/internship in working as a nurse in a hospital setting. You can obtain a bachelors degere.

A college degree and specific training are required to become an RN. Most universities and colleges (and some community colleges) are able to provide these requirements.
