Laissez faire literally means "let it be". It means that government has no role, say or influence in the workings of the market. Government lets the market balance itself out. Laissez faire leadership restricts itself from any intervention in the market or industry. "Free market" concept takes its roots from laissez faire.

It is difficult to live under this type of leadership if one is poor or diasbled because each must fend for themselves.
