Answer by  Mable (3008)

No. MAOI is a medical term for a certain class of drugs. These four letters designate "monoamine oxidase inhibitors." This is a very powerful group of drugs found in prescriptions for certain antidepressants and in prescriptions for stopping smoking. Substances that act in the same manner are also found in many herbs. See Wikipedia or other articles for more information.

Although it sounds Hawaiin, and even part of Hawaiian travel agency name, it is actually a MAO inhibitor. It can be found in various natural items such as Syrian rue, passionflower and Yohimbe. When mixed with certain other chemicals it can work as an antipresent. However, if taken with the wrong foods it can raise blood pressure.
