Passover is a remembrance of the Jewish peoples' release from bondage to Egypt and their exodus from Egypt to Israel. The holiday lasts 8 days (the 15th to the 22nd of Nissan). It's a time of reflection and rememberance with special symbols, dietary laws, prayers and gatherings.

Passover is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the Hebrews' escape from Egypt. It is normally celebrated with a big family meal and a ritual reading of the Haggadah, which tells the story of their escape.

It is a celebration that commemorates God's protection of Israel when they were in Egypt. Specifically, it recounts their protection from the angel of death that swept through the land when Pharaoh refused to let the people go. God's protection was over every household that applied the blood of a lamb to their doorposts; in other homes, the firstborn died.

God delivered the enslaved Hebrews, by sending Egypt 10 plagues, which "passed over" the Hebrews. Jews commemorate this deliverance with a seder, and by eating unleavened bread for 7 days.
