The word "prognosis" usuall comes after your doctor tells you about your diagnosis. First there will be an examination and/or tests. Next your doctor will tell you what your condition is and what disease you may have. Finally the doctor will refer to your prognosis and tell you what is to be expected as a result of this disease.

Prognosis is the expected outcome. If a person has cancer and the doctor says his prognosis is good, that means the patient is likely to recover and be fine.

A prognosis is the medical term used to describe the possible outcome of an illness. It is basically jut an educated guess as to what will happen to you based on your current medical condition. If the illness is the cause, the prognosis is a doctor's prediction of the effects.

The prognosis is what the doctor thinks the end result will be. For example if you have cancer the prognosis might be terminal or you might go in remission
