Rice cereal in a bottle should only be for extreme cases of acid reflux. Studies show that cereal does not make a difference in babies' ability to sleep through the night. Additionally, there are potential long-term disadvantages including obesity and allergies. Wait til 4-6 months to introduce solids to your baby.

The advantages are that a babies belly stays fuller longer. They sleep more soundly and longer at night. Cereal also helps a baby that is failure to thrive to gain weight quicker. It also helps cut down on the cost of buying formula because they aren't wanting a bottle as fast as with out the cereal.

Most of the newborns are familiar with breastfeeding. so it is verry easy to make soup with rice cereal and feed them. But at first time the soup must not so thick. After the newborn becomes 6months old we can increase the thickens of the soup and also avoid bottle. After 6 months we can feed them with a spoon

Unless otherwise directed by a pediatrician, babies under four months of age should normally be fed only breast milk or infant formula. Newborns do not need any other source of food and should not be given rice cereal, even watered down in a bottle. Their digestive systems are not developed enough yet.
