There is no average height and weight for all teens. Kids grow at different rates. Certainly boys and girls are different. "Normal" encompasses a vast majority of teens. It is important that body weight be proportionate to height. Your doctor should have a chart that explains health weight ranges for height for various build types.

This question is impossible to ask because I would need to know what their height, sex, and natural build is. You can go online and do a find for body mass index (bmi). This will give you an idea of what weight they should be for their height. I don't like BMI because it is outdated in my opinion.

This answer should be answered by their physician. They have a weight and height chart that indicated this information. This kind of information is also obtain from the genetics of the parents and grandparents. If they have been overweight, there is a possibility they could have the same genetics. Please don't talk to your kids about them being abnormal.

First, there is no such thing as 'normal'. Normal's just an average. 5' is normal for one girl, while 6'2" is normal for another girl. The teen's height can and will continue to change into their early 20's. Weight is similarly dependent on that teen's genes and activity level. If you have a concern, bring it up with their Doctor.

There is a wide range of variance for height and weight in teenagers. Males will generally be between 5 feet 5 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall and females will usually fall between 5 feet and 5 feet 6 inches. Their weight should be proportionate to their height.

There are certain parameters one can look at when wondering what the normal size is for any age, the best idea is to consult a doctor. The CDC should also provide the normal age, height, and weight health standards on their website.

Appropriate weight depends on your age, height, build and percentage of body fat. A more common measure of healthy bodies is based on a formula known as the body mass index or BMI. This index number is calculated from weight and height. Weight divided by your height and squared.
