Apply pressure just below the wound to help stop bleeding,wash immediately with a good antibacterial soap,rinse,dry,apply small amount of Neosporin and apply a bandaid.

If it is a serious laceration, seek medical attention. But if minor, gently and carefully clean and dry the wound, apply some antiseptic spray or ointment, and cover with a new, sterile dressing such as a plaster. Try to keep the wound dry, replace the dressing as necessary. Once you see it is healing, you can leave off the dressing.

Keep it clean and covered. If it bleeds for longer than an hour, you may want to take it too a doctor.

The best home treatment for a finger laceration is by using soap, water, and Neosporin. Wash the cut with soap and water, then put a layer of Neosporin on the wound. Next put on the Bandaid, and then you are good to go.
