The best food is one that is formulated for puppies as their stomachs have not properly developed and adult dog food or human food can be too harsh for them.

Well being a owner of 2 Ive found that they are not picky eaters at all. I try to get them somewhat smaller kibble being that they have small mouths. But i have not noticed any problems with different kinds. Just train it early that it doesnt get people food or it will become a begger.

I had a puppy with a heart murmur, so I had him eating Beneful with salmon, because salmon is the best food for the heart. Purina and Eukanuba also make salmon dog food.

I would feed him high end puppy food. You don't want to give him just any food. I have always had good luck with Purina One. If you have the questions the best thing you can do is ask your vet.
