The most highly recommended tweo products that seem to be most widely known is Miracle Stone Brite as an enhancer and 511 Impregnator. These two products used together bring out the natural hues of the stone and the 511 helps to seal the porus surfaces that are natural to the travertine tile itself.

Well to seal the tile, you have to place the sealer drops all the way on the bottom of the tile.

Basically you want to use sealer and dab it onto the bottom surfaces of the tile and then attach the tiles accordingly.
