On hikes, take a plant identification book with you. White and red berries are least edible. Blackberries and raspberries are the most common eatable berries. You should be certain you know if the berry is poisonous or not before you eat it. One berry can be fatal in some instances.

There are many types of berries, and it can be hard to tell which ones are not poisonous. White berries are the most likely to be poisonous. Some berries look like edible ones but are not. The best idea is to not eat any berries you aren't absolutely sure of.

1)Black and Blue berries are more often edible than red berries. 2)Learn to identify that are known to be poisonous. 3)Try to buy a plant identification book.
