A stye (correct spelling) is caused by an eyelash follicle or clogged oil gland. Apply warm, moist compresses to the dog's affected eye for 10 minutes at a time several times a day. If this does work take your dog to a vet.

Take your Dog to the vet to make sure it's a sty. The Vet will prescribe antibiotics for the eye.

If it is an infection get antibiotics from your vet. Otherwise just make sure it stays clean and doesn't get infected.

When an owner finds a stye on their dog's eye it should be treated immediately. The only thing a person can do is remove the stye. Only a veterinarion can remove a stye because it is dangerous and requires surgery. Left untreated the stye will bleed, then possibly loss of vision because the stye may attach to the cornea.

Place a warm cloth on the eye for several minutes throughout the day. If the eye appears to worsen, contact your vet to schedule a visit or ask for antibiotics.
