From experience, the stuff from the stores did not work well. I filled up a spray bottle full of bleach, nothing mixed and sprayed it on the weeds and it seemed to get rid of it. Have we yet had it grow back.

The best choice in weed killer for this situation is something that contains the chemicals 2-D, 4-D, or MCPP. These are great at targeting the weeds around your crabgrass without harming it. One of the well known brands that fits this criteria is Weed-B-Gon.

Centipede! 2-4-D & MCPP will kill centipede. Atrizine is what you want.  add a comment

Grass Be Gone. Also just try asking the workers in your local gardening store. They will be able to specifically assess your gardening situation. Good luck!

An option is to go the organic route using Corn Gluten Meal. It acts as a weed and feed for your lawn. Use about 20 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.

Round-up or Grass Be Gone are both excellent products for killing centipede grass and can be purchased at most retailers.

The best weed killer is Altrazine. It kills all the weeds in no time. You can use some natural substances such as corn gluten to kill out the weeds. I know the weeds are terrible. You can also take them out manually if you are very annoyed with them. Cut them out.

Round Up but if you are going to use it make sure you only spray it on what you are trtying to kill otherwise you will have a mess.

Well, I would say Round-up, but that will kill all your grass and probably not the answer that you are looking for. Try Scotts turf builder. Usually you apply it in the fall or early spring.

Sometimes you need to get down and dirty. I would start pulling the centipede grass by hand as much as possible. Start with a part of the yard that has the most. If you do it in the fall you have a much better chance of getting a better hand on how you will handle it in the spring.
