The Celsius temperature scale is designed so that 0 is the freezing point of water and 100 is the boiling point of water. With the Fahrenheit scale those temperatures are 32 and 212 respectively. To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius, use this formula: F = (9/5)*C + 32. Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5, then add 32 to that number.

In order to convert Farenheit to Celsius, subtract 32 degrees from the temperature in Farenheit first. Then, multiple by 5/9. This will give you the degrees in Celsius. You can also do the reverse (add 32 and multiply by 5/9) to convert it back into Farenheit.

The formula to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is as follows: Temp in Celsius = (Temp in Fahrenheit - 32) * 5 / 9

To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius you need first to subtract 32 and then multiply the result by 5/9. If fractions are not your strongest point, instead of multiplying by 5/9 just divide by 1. 8: c = (f - 32) / 1. 8

Converting Centigrade to Fahrenheit is done by multiplying by 9/5, then adding 32 to that result. So to undo that and go from Fahrenheit to Centigrade, subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature, then multiply that result by 5/9. Just remember that Fahrenheit to Centigrade yields a smaller number (for temperatures above -40 degrees)) so use 5/9 to shrink the temperature.
