The Demon Headmaster was originally a book series by Gillian Cross and was later turned into a television series. The villain in the series is the Headmaster, who's main objective is world domination using his hypnosis powers. Dinah Glass is the clever main protagonist who's adopted by the Hunter family and helps the Hunter children get rid of the Headmaster.

Ah! This was a TV series where the only character wore different glasses, the Headmaster himself. He can hypnotize the people when he removes these. I think I was just in first grade when I last saw this.

Well, it sounds like it could be a show about a demon that strangely has a headmaster. But, I'm not 100% sure.
